Goals and Milestones for Applicants

Applicants set goals, track milestones, and update progress right inside their application.

This tour shows the applicant side of goals and milestones in Submittable: proposing goals in the application, breaking them into weighted milestones, and marking progress after the award.

What you’ll see

  • Enter a proposed goal and a deliverable date for each required goal
  • Add milestones with descriptions, dates and a weight %
  • Add goals of your own, if the program allows it
  • Pick a goal type, like Numeric for measurable outcomes or Narrative for qualitative milestones
  • After the award, open View Award, go to Goals and Milestones, and switch milestones from Pending to Completed

Who it’s for

Grant applicants and awardees, and program staff who want to see the applicant's side.
