Every award cycle runs a little differently. This tour walks through Submittable's workflow builder: adding intake and review rounds, naming them in your team's terms, and deciding how reviewers see and score each application.
What you’ll see
- Add as many intake and review rounds as the cycle needs, and rename any round (Application, Screening, Finalist Review)
- Set deadlines and choose the intake form applicants complete
- Name each review round, assign who's in charge, and pick the form reviewers evaluate
- Hide individual fields, like name, email or gender, or whole sections from reviewers to reduce bias
- Set a number of reviewers per application, or split applications into review groups
- Choose scoring, voting or a custom rubric, and turn on soft deadlines, rolling cycles, multiple submissions, direct awarding or re-awarding
Who it’s for
Program administrators setting up a grant, scholarship or award cycle.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hide applicant information from reviewers?
Yes. Hide Fields keeps selected intake responses, or entire sections, out of reviewers' view in a review round.
How are applications assigned to reviewers?
Set a specific number of reviewers per application, or split applications into review groups by random assignment, by an intake form field, or with your own custom setup.
