Compliance Checks: GuideStar & SAM.gov

Before funds go out, you need to know an organization is a registered nonprofit and in good standing federally. This tour shows two checks you can run without leaving Submittable: GuideStar for nonprofit status and SAM.gov for federal compliance.

What you’ll see

• Open an organization from the participant list and select Compliance Check
• Choose GuideStar to confirm nonprofit status against Candid's database of registered nonprofits
• Run a SAM.gov check from Admin Controls in the Participant Network, in an intake round, or post award
• See registration status and exclusion status in the results
• Get a confirmed status and a record to back it up, with no separate lookup
