Action for Women’s Health Open Call Launch – October 9, 2024

The Open Call launches on October 9, 2024. Between October 9 and December 3, 2024, you are invited to assess your organization’s readiness for the Open Call and register.

Registration Deadline – December 3, 2024

Before submitting an application, your organization must register by Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time. Only registrants can submit an application.

Application Deadline – January 10, 2025

Once registration has closed, registrants will have five weeks to submit their applications. All applications are due by Friday, January 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time.

Administrative Review – January–February 2025

Over a period of several weeks, staff will review each application to ensure that it complies with the requirements and rules of the Open Call. If during Administrative Review or at any other point in the process, it is determined that an applicant does not meet the eligibility criteria of the Open Call as laid out in the Open Call Rules, the applicant will be notified and will not be eligible to progress to further stages of the Open Call.

Participatory Review – March–April 2025

During Participatory Review, each organization that has submitted a valid application will score and comment on four other applications using the four criteria included in the scoring rubric: impactful, scalable, equitable, and feasible. The top organizations, as determined by Participatory Review, will move forward to the Evaluation Panel.

Evaluation Panel Review – May–June 2025

During this period, members of the Evaluation Panel will review and score their assigned submissions using the scoring rubric.

Selection Period

Selection of Awardees – August–November 2025

Informed by the results of the Evaluation Panel, the Pivotal team will review submitted application materials. Top-scoring applicants may be asked to provide additional information at this stage for diligence purposes.

Award Announcement – November–December 2025

A total of $250 million USD in grants will be disbursed to awardee organizations by the end of 2025. Each awardee will receive flexible funding  between $1 million and $5 million USD.
